Luna Cardenas-Ibarra is a first-generation Mexican immigrant with a deep passion for spoken word poetry. Her love for the craft was ignited in Grade 11, when Luna competed in the Australian Poetry Slam, where she placed first in her city and advanced to the state level. Her work draws inspiration from her personal life experiences as well as human rights inequities, exploring themes such as migrant rights, conflict, and identity.
